Come on mushi look up the phrase "gone to the dogs" in dictionary

Salman bhai who needs a dictionary when you have good people telling you the difference between right and wrong. And Salman bhai what is wrong with the malaysians - I mean they are friendly!!! - "un ko flying kay baaray main kuch ata bhe hai ka nahin."

I bet the next thing u r gonna say is that there are no politics in the clubs and that they dont need ISI, Airforce, Police, Navy, Presidency, Interior Ministry, Exterior Ministry clearance...... for flying - this is just WRONG.

I am telling you stay away from these Malaysians - "yeh banday theek nahin hai"

PS: not to be taken in the literal sense

IAC website has been updated immediately after the last post on this forum!

Flying is open on all 7 days! However as per the Information we have mac also has the approval from cda to use this field! I am not really sure what is happening ? If anyone has any information in this regards please share it with us!

Also no information has been posted on the iac website on the status of applications that are already with iac! Also no information on the security clearance process for new applicants?

I am also glad to see iac management reading this discussion and taking action on at least some if the issues raised on this discussion form!

Hello everyone

There is a new notice on the IAC website which reads ...

1- IAC field will remain open to all IAC members 7 days a week.
2- All enthusiastic flyers are welcomed for IAC membership.
3- Forms can be downloaded from the link below and may be sent to the Secretary IAC, 5A Bhittai Road F-7/1 Islamabad

Does that mean a lot of enthusiastic flyers that submitted the completed membership forms last time and then never heard from IAC management will now get the membership automatically or will they have to apply again? OR will they still not get the membership?

I guess there is just one way to find out ... lets all apply for the membership again and see if the IAC management actually means what they are saying on the OFFICIAL website?

P.S.
a) In point #2, do they mean they are still welcoming enthusiastic flyer or are they trying to say that they welcomed them but not anymore????
b) the OFFICIAL website has conflicting statements as far as the flying days in a week are concerned, at one point it says flying allowed on all 7 days but at the other place it says flying allowed only on saturday and sunday! Can anyone confirm this?

AoA,

Just to add to that info, the Pilot Advisories section on the IAC website also mentions

"Flying Schedule

7 days a week exclusively for IAC members only"

wonder what IAC means by exclusively for IAC Members. Can non IAC members fly on certain days?

Hi

Is it true that yet another government authority is now involved .... this is not to get permission to fly but to make sure that no one else can fly in Islamabad/rawalpindi area?

I may be wrong ... can some one please clearify the situation? and also who involved the government authority?

Agreed!

However, looking at the pictures and videos uploaded from Islamabad/rawalpindi on rcpak.com I am glad to see people still flying at various grounds and empty lots ...

I was wondering ... did these guys took permission from the all the govt. agencies? the sort of clearance required to fly at IAC?

Don't know about the clearance requirements, but in my opinion IAC is locked up more tight than a nuclear SILO!!

Hey I am only human! I can make mistakes right? May be its the test site for prototype JF-17s!!

All said and done, in my opinion its not the field, site nor the plane/heli you fly makes this hobby great. Its the people you fly with that makes it an enjoyable experience.

Let me make my comments on this issue. This is what I believe is correct, that you don't need permission from the gov agencies to have this hobby. Its only because of one person who created all these issues, because he couldn't resist watching others to fly. The most screwed up part is that he always used to impose his own rules on others, instead of knowing the fact that he always flew on the pits area.
If I wanted to fly at IAC I would have but the fact is that now I don't have time for such BS.
I'm nice to people who are nice to me!

Thank God I don't have security clearance issue on playing Golf !!

At times I feel that, it was way better to be in states, at least those americans had the courtesy to entertain you in this hobby with respect n equality. I've been way disappointed at the act of certain people in this hobby in Pakistan.

I was way happy with the previous president of IAC 6 yrs back, at least I was able to fly peacefully.

one things is for sure that currently people who fly at so called IAC don't know how to even land. The funniest part is that the old flyers don't even want to fly there, this clearly proves that its not a proper club with the designated AMA rules. Flying bigger planes doesn't make you a pro.

Isolated people and clubs never work out, that why no fun flys are held any more as they were previously.

Good luck with your flying n safe landings.
Peace )

IAC existence was with its flyers, but now it seems that Iac doesn't exists anymore.

So let's close this topic here.
